After years of testing various gloves, finally I have come across what I believe is the best set of fire cooking gloves you can buy. These are a glove designed for smelting, but I have had them re-made in cool colours and especially designed for fire cooking, with a really long sleeve, super thick palms and the best insulation I’ve been able to find. These are absolute winners. I have been testing them for the last 3 years and they are so much better than your average welding glove (but yes, they can be used for welding as well).

One key advantage is that these use a Kevlar fleece instead of leather, so they don’t shrivel up in lots of heat – it’s also cut resistant.
